Location: San Jose, California What's on Tap: UV will play San Jose State at 8:00 pm (MST) on Friday, September 15, and Cal State Northridge (2:00 pm) and Harvard (5:00 pm) on Saturday, September 16. Wolverine Update: Camie Manwill and Lacee Koelliker were named to the All-Tournament team for their performance. Manwill tallied 83 kills, averaging 5.19 kills per game. She also averaged 4.50 digs per game tallying 72 for the week. Koelliker recorded 198 assists, averaging 12.38 assists per game. She also had 48 digs averaging 3.00 assists per game. Scouting the Opposition: CSUN: The Matadors enter the weekend tournament with a 3-4 overall record. CSUN split a pair of matches last weekend in the UNLV Invitational, defeating Xavier, 3-0, but losing to UNLV, 0-3. Darla Donaldson leads the team in kills (75), hitting percentage (.336), kills per game (2.88), and blocks per game (1.35). HU: The Crimson travel to the Hyatt Invitational with a 2-1 overall record. The team defeated Binghamton (3-2) and Rutgers (3-1) last weekend but lost to Long Island (0-3). Katie Turley-Molony and Suzie Trimble lead the offensive attack for HU. Turley-Molony has a team-high 41 kills, averaging 3.42 k/g, and Trimble is hitting .408 with 35 kills and has 10 blocks. Last Time Out: ORU (9-9-06): Utah Valley State battled in four but lost to Oral Roberts 30-23, 34-32, 30-23, 30-22 on the second day of the LaQuinta Invitational. The loss snapped a UV five match winning streak. Camie Manwill was impressive for the Wolverines notching 27 kills, one off a career-high and just four kills off a school record. She also had 19 digs. Jessica Endres tallied 13 kills and Terin Ledall finished with nine for the Wolverines. Lacee Koelliker garnered 50 assists. Defensively Kaui Piena tallied a career-high 16 digs and Chelsea Baugh added 15. The Golden Eagles out-hit UV .280 to .191 thanks in part to Ori Zuzic who finished with 36 kills with only eight hitting errors. IPFW (9-9-06): Utah Valley State closed out IPFW in four games 30-25, 31-29, 25-30, 30-18 in the final match of the LaQuinta Invitational. The Wolverines took second place in the tournament finishing 2-1. Camie Manwill and Lacee Koelliker were named to the All-Tournament team. Manwill had 64 kills, averaging 5.82 per game and Koelliker finished with 140 assists, averaging 12.73 in the tournament.
