Borghetti Named to Mizuno Classic All-Tournament Team

OREM, Utah -€“ Senior rightside hitter, Deise Borghetti led the Wolverines to a 2-1 record and was named to the BYU/Mizuno Classic All-Tournament team over the weekend.

Utah Valley State beat Central Florida in four games in the tournament opener, and swept Memphis in its final match. The Wolverines only loss came in four games to undefeated and tournament champion, Oklahoma.

Borghetti put up good numbers all weekend with match-high kills in two of UVSC's three games. Against UCF Borghetti notched a match-high 21 kills, and added 15 digs. Against Big 12 power OU; she tallied a match-high 18 kills with 17 digs. In the final match against Memphis Borghetti finished with 10 kills and eight digs.

Borghetti and the Wolverines will travel to Portland, Oregon September 16-18 to compete in the Nike Portland Pilot Invitational.
