OREM , Utah - Utah Valley State senior setter Lacee Koelliker has been named Division I Independent Volleyball Setter of the Week after her performance last week.

Koelliker helped lead the Wolverines to a 3-1 record last week with wins over Idaho State on Wednesday, and in-state rival Weber State and IPFW in the LaQuinta Invitational over the weekend. She was named to the LaQuinta Invitational All-tournament team. In four matches she tallied 198 assists, averaging 12.38 assists per game. She also recorded 48 digs averaging 3.00 assists per game. She finished the week with double-doubles in three of the four matches and had five service aces.

This season, ten Division I Independent volleyball teams have joined together to have Player of the Week awards. Those teams are IPFW, New Jersey Tech, North Dakota State, Providence, Savannah State, South Dakota State, Texas-Pan American, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Utah Valley State and Winston-Salem State. Awards are voted on by participating team sports information directors and released at the beginning of each week.

The Wolverines prepare to travel to San Jose, California to compete in the Hyatt Invitational hosted by San Jose State.
