Orem, UT- After playing seven of its first eight games on the road, the Utah Valley State soccer team returns home this weekend for home contests against UTEP (7-2) on Thursday at 4 p.m. and Centenary College (3-6) on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Over the next month the Wolverines (3-4-1) play six of its next seven games at home. They don't leave the state of Utah until they play at Loyola Marymount on Oct. 26.

Thursday will be the third meeting between the UTEP and Utah Valley State. Utah Valley beat the Miners in 2004 3-2 in two overtimes. Last year UV lost 5-0 in El Paso. Saturday is the first ever meeting with Centenary.

Utah Valley State is coming off a weekend where they beat Idaho 2-0 and lost to Gonzaga 2-1. Courtney Robbins scored a goal in the Idaho win and assisted in the other goal. Freshman Natalie Hatfield scored the goal against Gonzaga.

Hatfield was also named United Soccer Conference Newcomer of the Week on Wednesday.

Senior Rebecca Petersen leads the Wolverines offensive attack with two goals and two assists. Junior Chelsea Stone has two goals and one assist.

Following Saturday's game with Centenary the Wolverine soccer team will host a free skills clinic to youth ages five through eighth grade. Those interested must fill out a release form prior to the game. The release form is located on the Wolverine website; www.wolverinegreen.com then click the link for the soccer home page.
