OREM, Utah - After a tough 0-2 weekend in New Mexico, Utah Valley's schedule doesn't get any easier as the Wolverines travel to the high plains of the Rocky Mountains to take on Wyoming and Northern Colorado.

UV will take on the Cowgirls Friday in Laramie, Wyo., before traveling to Greeley, Colo. to take on the Bears on Sunday afternoon.

"This should be an exciting weekend for us," head coach Brent Anderson said. "We have been working hard this past week and we are definately playing better as a team. This weekend will be a chance for some of our younger players to get on the field and show us what they can do."

The Wolverines and Cowgirls will be facing off for the first time in UV's program history. Interestingly, UV has three other Mountain West Conference foes this season as the Wolverines will be hosting Utah and while playing at UNLV and New Mexico (last week).

Northern Colorado at Utah Valley will be playing for the fourth time. The Wolverines enjoy a 3-0-0 record all-time against the Bears. After beating UNC, 3-1 in 2003--UV's first year competing at the Division I level--the two teams met twice in 2004 with the Wolverines winning each by a 3-2 count.

After finishing its four-match road swing to New Mexico and the high plains, Utah Valley will return home next weekend to take on Northern Arizona at Wolverine field. The Wolverines and Lumberjacks play Friday (Sept. 21) at 4 p.m.

After the one-game homestand, UV will head back out on the road as the Wolverines will travel to the East Coast to start their United Soccer Conference season with games at Howard, Longwood and South Carolina State.
