OREM, Utah - Coming off a season-opening draw against Southern Utah, Utah Valley will take to the road for the first time in the 2007 season when the Wolverines head to Albuquerque, N.M. to take on New Mexico and Long Island at the Nike Classic.

UV will play the Lobos on Saturday afternoon before facing the Blackbirds Sunday at 11 a.m.

"We are looking forward to this weekend, it is a great opportunity to test ourselves against a solid Mountain West Conference team in New Mexico as well as taking on the defending North Eastern Conference Champion," UV head coach Brent Anderson said. "We have trained hard this week and I am anxious to see our improvements since our last match."

Utah Valley's Saturday game against New Mexico will have live stats and video coverage. The live stats run by Gametracker is a free service. The live video feed provided by New Mexico is a fee-based service. The service is provided by CSTV All-Access. A membership-based system, users have several subscription options to choose from. To access Gametracker and live video, visit New Mexico's schedule page and click on the appropriate links.

The Wolverines and Lobos will be facing off for the first time in UV's program history. Interestingly, UV will face three other Mountain West Conference foes this season when the Wolverines host Utah and play at UNLV and Wyoming.

Long Island at Utah Valley will be playing for the second time. The Blackbirds beat the Wolverines, 1-0, on Aug. 28, 2004. Like the first meeting, Utah Valley will face LIU on a neutral field. The Wolverines and Blackbirds played the first time in Flagstaff, Ariz., at Northern Arizona.

Utah Valley will conclude its four-game road swing on the front range. The Wolverines will head to Wyoming (Sept. 14) and Northern Colorado (Sept. 16).
