Wolverines Open 2006 Season in Wyoming
Aug. 25, 2006 Orem, UT - The Utah Valley State soccer team opens the 2006 regular season by playing in the 2006 UniWyo Cowgirl Shootout on Friday at 1 p.m. against Montana. The Wolverines also play Tulsa on Sunday at 11 a.m. Montana is picked to finish fourth in the Big Sky this year while Tulsa was 9-9-2 in 2005 and this year they were picked to finish 10th in the 12 team Conference USA. Utah Valley is coming off a 7-0 exhibition win over Westminster last Saturday. The Wolverines also lost to Utah and Weber State 3-1 in exhibition play. Utah Valley returns 12 players off last years 7-12 team. This year's team captains are seniors Courtney Robbins and Alyssa Woodbury. The Wolverines first home match is September 9th against Dixie State. |
