Soccer Field Under Renovation

June 20, 2007

Orem, UT- The Utah Valley State athletic department is upgrading its women's soccer facility. Once completed, the home field for the women's soccer team will include increased seating, lighting, a level playing field with new sod and an improved drainage system.

The renovations have Utah Valley soccer coach Brent Anderson and his players excited about the upcoming season.

"The girls are very excited," Anderson said. "I sent the players a text message this morning to let them know work has started on the field and they all responded with great excitement. This is a positive step in building our program. The field will have a great look to it and it will continue to be a great place to have our home field."

Since Utah Valley sanctioned women's soccer in 2002, the Wolverines home field has had a seating capacity of 500.

Renovations are set to be completed by the start of the Wolverine soccer season on August 22 when they host Weber State in an exhibition game.
