Orem, UT- Utah Valley State soccer coach Brent Anderson has announced his recruiting class for the upcoming 2007 season. Anderson has received letters of intents from nine players. Of the nine players, three are state champions for their respective high schools and seven are from the state of Utah.
Joining the Wolverine soccer program next year is Hailey Brown (Lone Peak High School), Danielle Anderson (Sky View High School), Nicole Archibald (Sky View High School), Lauren Bluth (Hillcrest High School), Taryn Smith (Bountiful High School), Madeline McQuarrie (Woods Cross High School), Katey Turner (Weber High School), Sara Walker (Catalina Foothills High School, Tucson, AZ) and Andi Bagdan (Crater High School, Central Point, OR).
Walker, Smith and McQuarrie all won high school state championships while Brown and Anderson played in the state championship game.
"I am very excited about this recruiting class," Anderson said. "As a group they are very talented and hard working on the field and in the classroom. Individually each one of them brings athleticism and skill that will be a huge boost for our team in the fall and for years to come. I have some very high expectations of this new class and I look forward to working with them and the returning players as we continue to build and develop this program."

Sara Walker
Catalina Foothills High School, Tucson, AZ
Outside back/Outside Mid
High School team went 26-0 as a junior and senior ... three-time state champions (2005-07) ... First 4A team in Arizona to go undefeated and win three consective state championships ... First Team All-Region as a senior ... had seven goals and 11 assists as a senior ... scored the winning and only goal in the state championship.
Danielle Anderson
North Logan, Utah, Sky View High School
Sweeper/Forward/Stopper
High School team won the region championship in 2007 and placed second in state in 2006 ... 2007 Logan Herald Journal Player of the Year ... Deseret Morning News and Salt Lake Tribune 1st Team All-State defender ... also runs track.
Hailey Brown
Pleasant Grove, Utah, Lone Peak High School
Goalkeeper
High School team went 18-2 in junior and senior seasons and finished second in state in 2005 and 2006 ... allowed only 13 goals as keeper in 20 games ... lettered three years in soccer .... First Team All-State and First Team All-Valley in 2005 and 2006 ... Region 4 MVP for goal keepers ... in 2006 recorded the most shutouts in the state with 11... started every high school game and played in goal all but 20 minutes in three years. Second Team All-Region as a junior and First Team All-Region as a senor ... had 10 goals and nine assists as a senior ... was Most Outstanding Midfielder as a senior.

High school team won the state championship in 2006 and was the state runner ups in 2005 ... Second Team-All-State as a senior ... Started every game as a senior ... Played on the Utah Rush Club team.
Andi Bagdan
Central Point, Oregon, Crater High School
Forward/Center Defender
SSC Player of the Year ... First Team All-Conference Defender ... First Team All-State Defender ... had five goals and 13 assists as a senior ... Honorable Mention SSC All-Conference.
Madeline McQuarrie
