Wolverines Suffer 3-0 Setback at Boise State
Boise, ID- The Utah Valley State soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback to Boise State on Wednesday.
The game was tied at zero at halftime but Boise came out and scored three goals early in the half to put the Wolverines on their heals. All three goals came within a 14 minute span. "We played really well in the first half," Utah Valley State coach Brent Anderson said. "We started the second half really flat and maybe a bit tired." Utah Valley did have a few point-blank chances to score early in the second half. But its one-on-one attempts against Boise State keeper Michaela Morrison fell short. The Wolverines had 10 shots to the Broncos 22. UV sophomore Mallory Schott had two of the 10 attempts. Utah Valley State is now 2-3 and plays its home opener on Saturday at 3 p.m. against Division II Dixie State. "It will be good to be at home to see what we can do," Anderson said. |
