MacKay and Gibson Named November Scholar Athletes

Golfers helped teams to most successfull season during Fall of '07

OREM, Utah - Ashley MacKay of the women's golf team and Jeff Gibson of the men's team have been named the Utah Valley Athletic Department's November Perry Homes Scholar Athletes of the Month.

MacKay, a senior from Idaho Falls, is an Art/Visual Communication major and has a 3.54 GPA. On the course, she helped the women to their best fall season to date including a second place finish at the Weber State Invitational where she finished 3rd overall.

Gibson is majoring in Integrated Studies and has a 3.19 cumulative GPA. A senior from Calgary, Gibson had two top-30 finishes during the fall season.

He finished 20th overall at the America Sky Championships and helped the team finish 37-under at the Air Force Classic, the best team score in school history.
