Head women-s golf coach Denise Larson summed up the historic day-s event, by saying it was a good experience.
-It-s good to get our feet wet as a Division I program,- said Larson. -It was definitely an eye opening experience for our girls, on where we are now and where we need to be down the road.-
Whitney Drumright finished with the best individual round for the Wolverines, shooting a 14-over, 87. She is currently tied for 37th. Teammate Ashley Baldwin was just behind Drumright, shooting a 15-over 88, good for tied at 39th. Shari Johnson finished the day with a 22-over 95, and is in 45th place in the individual standings.
The Wolverines will finish the tournament on Tuesday with a final 18-hole round.
