Both Wolverine Golf Teams in Action on Monday and Tuesday
Sept. 17, 2006 Orem, Utah - Both the men's and women's golf teams at Utah Valley State will be in action on Monday & Tuesday. The men will play in the Purple & Red Invitational at Valley View GC in Layton, hosted by Weber State and Utah. The women are opening their fall season in Flagstaff, Arizona for the La Quinta Inn & Suites High Altitude Shootout at Continental Country Club, hosted by Northern Arizona University. The 36-hole tournament will begin Monday morning with 18 holes with the final 18 to be played on Tuesday morning. The men's tournament will be 54-holes beginning with 36 on Monday morning and the final 18 on Tuesday. Men's head coach Tommy Johnson is taking Nic van Vuuren, Andrew Smith, Jeff Gibson, Dustin Robinson & Tyler Weight to compete as a team and Adam Tayler will play individually. The 16 other teams participating are Weber State, Utah, Boise State, Cal Poly, Cal State Northridge, Gonzaga, Hartford, Idaho, Idaho State, Northern Colorado, Portland, Sacramento State, San Francisco, Southern Utah, Utah State, and Wyoming. |
