Women's Golf Team in 15th After Opening Round of Invitational

Day 1 Results

Arroyo Grande, California - The Utah Valley State women's golf team is in 15th place after one round at the Firestone Grill Cal Poly Invitational at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande, California.

Whitney Drumright shot 8-over (81) to lead the Wolverines on Monday and is tied for 34th.

Ashley Baldwin shot an 84 and is tied for 51st, while Echo Thatcher (88, t-70th) and Shari Johnson (89, t-77th) round out the Wolverines competing.

UC Davis golfer Kelsey Fischer shot 2-under (71) to lead the overall standings and help the Aggies to a two-shot advantage over UC Riverside.

The second and final round will take place beginning Tuesday morning.
