Final Results

Denton, Texas - Utah Valley women's golf wrapped up its first event of the fall season on Tuesday by finishing 15th at the North Texas Women's Golf Classic at Robson Ranch Golf Club in Denton, Texas.

The Wolverines struggled in round two, shooting 348, a day after a solid opening round of 330, 16 strokes better than last season's average.

"On the positive side we are definitely ahead of where we were at this time last year," said head coach Denise Larson. "The good thing is that nobody is happy with what they shot today and they are all willing to do what they need to do to get better."

Echo Thatcher was the top finisher for UV, tied for 41st overall after shooting 81 (+9) and finishing with a two-day total of 159 (+15).

Freshman Jade Dickson was the lone Wolverine to improve in the second round, shooting a shot better than yesterday.

Susan Nam of Florida International won the individual title, finishing at +1 after shooting even-par in round two.

Oklahoma City University won a tiebreaker over Sam Houston State, after both teams finished with a two-round score of 609, to win the team title.

Utah Valley will be back in action next Monday at the NAU Lumberjack Invitational in Flagstaff, Arizona.
