Day 1 Results
Beaumont, California - The Utah Valley State women's golf team opened up the 2007 Spring season on Monday at the Lady Braveheart Challenge at Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, California. Ashley Baldwin shot an 85 (+13) to lead the Wolverines while Echo Thatcher followed that with an 87 (+15) and Shari Johnson shot 89 (+17). "Things went well for the first day out on the course. Everyone had their own goals they were working towards," said head coach Denise Larson. "We got some good practice in and we're looking forward to tomorrow and the rest of the season." The Wolverines are currently 15th out of 17 teams with San Diego State and UC Davis tied for the team lead. The final round will take place beginning tomorrow morning. |
