OREM, Utah - Utah Valley will face a Big East opponent for the first time in school history on Wednesday when Seton Hall comes to Orem for a 3:05pm MT tip-off. They then travel to Logan on Saturday for an in-state match up against Utah State at 7:00pm MT. Both games can be heard live and feature live Gametracker at WolverineGreen.com. Both Utah Valley and Seton Hall are a perfect 4-0 heading into Wednesday's contest. Most recently, the Wolverines defeated UC Irvine in a 103-83 shootout that set a school record for most points against a Division I opponent. Dating back to last season, the Wolverines are currently in the midst of a seven-game win streak, which currently ties a school record set early in the 2006-07 season. In the win over Irvine, Robyn Fairbanks had 36 points and 15 rebounds, both season highs for the junior, including 26 points in the first half while Sandy Marvin added 22 points and 10 assists. So far this season, Fairbanks (21.0), Marvin (20.0) and Julie McMurray (18.5) are combining to average 59.5 points per game for UV. Utah Valley has won all four of its games this season by at least 20 points, and is outscoring opponents 90.2 to 66.2 and hitting 52% from the field compared to 36% by the opposition. In the first road contest of the season, a 75-55 win over in-state rival Southern Utah, McMurray set a school record with seven steals. |
