OREM, Utah - Utah Valley, winners of three straight, will host the Nevada Wolf Pack, who are on a four-game winning streak on Wednesday at 3:05pm in The McKay Center. It will be the third game in five days for the Wolverines (12-3), who are off to the best start in school history and just three wins from tying the school record for wins in a season.

UV defeated Portland State (104-99) last Saturday and Gonzaga (94-73) on Monday in its first two post-Christmas games.

Junior center Robyn Fairbanks was named the Division I Independent Player of the Week on Tuesday, the third time this season and 11th time in her career, after averaging 26.3 points and 11.7 rebounds as the Wolverines went 2-1 from December 17th-30th.

Fairbanks is averaging 23.9 points, ranking her 3rd nationally, along with 9.7 rebounds per game while hitting 56% from the field.

As a team, Utah Valley is hitting just over 48% from the field with Fairbanks, Sandy Marvin and Julie McMurray each hitting over 50% from the field while combining to average 58 points per game.

In the win over Gonzaga, five players reached double figures led by Fairbanks' 25th career double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds. Sandy Marvin added 23 points while Jordyn Bowen set career highs of 11 points and eight rebounds for the Wolverines, who outrebounded Gonzaga 50-28.

Utah Valley has three games remaining before playing its final 10 games of the year against Division I independents. Just five of the final 13 games this season will be at home, where UV is a perfect 8-0 this season.

Following Wednesday's game, the Wolverines will travel to Las Cruces, New Mexico to take on New Mexico State on Saturday and to Denver to face Denver University on Tuesday.

Nevada (9-3) has won four straight and will play its final non-conference game against Utah Valley.

The Wolf Pack have won the only previous meeting between the two schools, 74-59, in Reno, Nevada on January 19, 2006.

Nevada beat San Francisco this past Sunday, 66-44 led by Dellen Criner's 18 points. Criner, who leads the team with a 17.0 ppg average, was named the WAC player of the week on Monday.
