Wrestlers Take Center Stage Monday at 7pm

OREM, Utah - Utah Valley's 2007-08 wrestling squad will be on display for the first time on Monday night as the Wolverines will hold their annual intrasquad wrestle-off at 7pm in the Shurian Family Activity Center. The event is free of charge for the public. "We've got some guys that have stepped out of their red-shirt years that we've been excited about and now they get to step up and prove themselves," said head coach Greg Williams. "The work ethic in our room is at a whole different level and these guys are serious about getting to a high level." Some of the highlighted matches for Monday include Jeb Clark vs. Gehrhart Vuksinick, Justin Morrill vs. Jeff Newby, Sam Allen vs. Jacob Sheridan and Ben Kjar vs. Flint Ray. Utah Valley travels to Ypsilanti, Michigan on Saturday, November 3rd for the Eastern Michigan Open. The first dual of the season will be at the Jack Hancock Invitational on November 17th. The first home dual won't take place until January 3rd, the team's Western Wrestling Conference opener against South Dakota State. |
