UV faces Northern Colorado in home and conference opener

Orem, Utah - Utah Valley State opens its home and Western Wrestling Conference season when it welcomes Northern Colorado to the Shurian Activities Center Saturday.

The Wolverines are now 3-5 in duals this season. UV is coming of its most difficult tournament as the Wolverines wrestled three tough programs including No. 7 Oklahoma at the Lonestar Duals last week.

"Northern Colorado is a good team," Utah Valley head coach Greg Williams said. "We wrestled some of them at the Northern Colorado Open earlier this season and they won almost every weight class."

The Wolverines have a total of three home duals this season.
