Fenwick Named UV Scholar Athlete
Jan. 8, 2007 Orem, Utah - Utah Valley State wrestler Marc Fenwick has been named the Scholar Athlete of the Month for December. Fenwick, who is majoring in business management, maintains a 3.2 grade point average and has excelled on the mat this season. During the month of December, Fenwick posted a 4-4 record that included a pair of pins and a tech fall victory. Fenwick was 2-2 at the prestigious Reno Tournament of Champions in Reno, Nev. At the Reno tournament, Fenwick recorded a 17-0 tech fall and also pinned an opponent. Impressively, Fenwick has been wrestling up two weights at 174 instead of at his natural 157. Early in December, Fenwick got a pin to help lead the Wolverines to a dual victory at Portland State. His pin earned him the Western Wrestling Conference Wrestler of the Week. |
