Fenwick also led in third round before slipping

Final Results

Reno, Nev. - Marc Fenwick headlined a group of four Utah Valley State to pick up wins at the Reno Tournament of Champions.

"Marc continues to improve," head coach Greg Williams said. "He got two big wins and was leading 7-2 in the third period when he slipped and got pinned. I've been happy with his improvement with each match."

Justin Morrill (141), Dustin Olsen (165), Marc Fenwick (174) and Brock Jardine (184) all picked up victories for the Wolverines at the open tournament.

Morrill beat Blake Gaughran, 6-3 in the 141-pound first round. Olsen picked up a 4-0 victory in the 165 weight class over Zack Pagnotta.

After Fenwick lost in the first round of the 174-pound class, he came up a pair of huge victories over Darin Frey and Ryan Budd. Fenwick got a 17-0 tech fall victory over Frey and pinned Budd (5:24).

Jardine picked up a 5-0 decision over Colter Dimas from Montana in the first round of the 184 weight class.

UV will have two weeks off before heading to Texas for the Lonestar Duals. The Wolverines will take on two of the toughest opponents of the season when they wrestled against nationally ranked Oklahoma and Army.
