Simi Valley, California - The Utah Valley State men's golf team finished the Bill Cullum Invitational where it began the day, in 12th place out of 14 teams at Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley, California.

The Wolverines had their worst round of the tournament, shooting a +26 (314) in round three, in the final tournament of the 2006 fall season.

Senior Nic van Vuuren, who came into the day tied for 16th, shot 6-over and finished tied for 30th at +9.

Andrew Smith shot the low round of the day for UV, a 77, and finished tied for 56th at +18. Jeff Gibson and Dustin Robinson both finished at +20 and tied for 61st while Jordan Rogers finished at +25, tied for 70th.

Loyola Marymount's Brian Locke held a one stroke lead heading into round three and shot a 68 to run away with the individual title by seven shots.

Loyola also took home the team crown with a one stroke win over Cal Poly.

Utah Valley State will be off until February 12-13 when they will play at the Thunderbird Invitational at Sunbrook GC in St. George.
