Wolverines Tied For 10th Through Two Rounds

SAN JOSE, California - Utah Valley men's golf is tied for 10th with Loyola College through two rounds at the Santa Clara Invitational at Silver Creek Golf Course in San Jose, California. The Wolverines shot a team score of 301 in Monday morning's first round before a 298 in the afternoon's second round. Nick Neal is just outside of the top-20 in a tie for 22nd at +3 for the tournament. Teammate Jeff Gibson is one shot behind and tied for 27th. Andrew Smith, Ashton Casper and Nick Nelson are all 11-over through two rounds. Casper, who shot 1-over 73 in the second round to match Neal for the team's low round of the day, is seeing his first action as a Wolverine in this week's tournament. The SCU Invitational concludes with 18 holes beginning Tuesday morning. |
