Isaac Turley enters his first year as an assistant coach at Utah Valley State. He comes to Utah Valley after serving for two years as an assistant coach at BYU-Hawaii. During that stretch they went 42-15 and won the Pacific West Conference championship. BYU-Hawaii advanced to the NCAA Division II tournament both years and in the 2003-04 season they advanced to the second round. Prior to coaching at BYU-Hawaii Turley served as the assistant varsity basketball coach at Valley View High School in California. Turley played college basketball at Big Bend Community College and BYU-Hawaii. He earned First-Team All-Conference honors at Big Bend and his team won the conference championship at BYU-Hawaii in 1999-2000. When Turley is not coaching basketball he enjoys golfing and spending time with his family. His brother Kyle plays football for the Kansas City Chiefs. Turley also served a two-year LDS mission to Des Moines, Iowa. Turley and his wife Tera have one child, Dane, who was born June 12, 2005. |
