Marcus Moore Named Independent Pitcher of the Week

OREM, Utah - Utah Valley junior Marcus Moore was named the Division I Independent Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday after striking out a school record 14 batters last week against Southern Utah. It's the first time he's won the award.

Moore threw a complete game four-hitter against the T-Birds in a 4-2 UV win. It was his second complete game in as many career starts.

The righthander from Roy, Utah leads the team with a 1.73 ERA heading into Tuesday night's contest against Utah.

After the game against Utah, the Wolverines will host Dixie State in a three-game series beginning Thursday at 7pm. The teams will also meet Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 1pm.
