Bendoski Sets School Record in 1500
Provo , UT - The Utah Valley State track team had another successful meet on Wednesday evening at Weber State. Joe Bendoski broke a school record in the 1500 meter run with a time of 3:50.07. Several other Wolverine athletes set personal best marks and had top finishes. The women-s 4 x 100 relay team (Tawny Judkins, Mariama Salifu, Nicole Olsen and Kari Snow) placed ran a first place time if 47.04 seconds. They came in first over runners from BYU and Weber State. Kirsten Barney set a personal best mark in the 1500 by running a 4:43.59. In the men-s 800 freshman Tim Rowberry-s time of 1:52.23 was a good first place finish. -That is a great time for a freshman,- Utah Valley State coach Scott Houle said. -He ran an amazing race.- Clifton Palmer finished first in the high jump by leaping six feet nine and Β½ inches. It was the first time he has broken the 6-9 barrier. The men-s 4 x 100 relay team (Hudu Al-Hassan, Chase Haslam, Chris Fogt and Devin Seale) also set a season best time of 42.53 seconds.
