Two Records Set at SUU
Cedar City , UT - For the second straight year the Utah Valley State track team competed with Southern Utah in a dual meet. The meet proved to be successful as the women-s 4 x 100 relay team and three runners in the men-s 3000 meter run all set school records. The women-s 4 x 100 relay team time of Mariama Salifu, Tawny Judkins, Kari Snow and Nicole Olsen ran a 46.80. On the men-s side, Joe Bendoski (8:53.61), Michael Vick (8:56.14) and Ryan Gurr (8:58.10) all set school records in the 3,000 meter run. Chris Fogt was 11 tenths of a second from setting a school record in the 200 meter run with a time of 21.38. Other Wolverine athletes also set personal best marks at the meet. Karinne Bentley ran a 4:48 in the 1500 and Megan Butler had a throw of 135-01.50 in the hammer throw. -This was a great meet,- Utah Valley State coach Scott Houle said. -There was great competition on both sides and a lot of kids set personal records. It is a fun dual because kids on both teams all know each other.-
