Amber Criss To Shoot Rifle at UTEP

EL PASO, Texas - Amber Criss of Walla Walla, Wash., signed a national letter of intent to shoot rifle at UTEP announced head coach George Brenzovich on Thursday.

"Amber will add tremendously to a talent filled squad," said Brenzovich, "It sure looks good for this year's chances."

Criss is the 2007 National JROTC Individual Precision Air Rifle Champion. She holds the national record in three-position air rifle precision class set April 14, 2007 at the National JROTC with a score of 589.

Criss is the executive officer of the Wa-Hi JROTC cadet battalion at Walla Walla High School. She finished in the top one-third of all air rifle shooters at the Offhand Position Junior Olympics at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
