UTEPs Shooters Top Air Force at NCAA Qualifiers




Colorado Springs, Colo. – UTEP shooters combined for an aggregate score of 4583 to top Air Force at the NCAA Qualifiers in Colorado Springs, Colo. over the weekend. Air Force fired 4492.

The Miners combined for an air gun total of 2326. All four shooters fired 580 or above for the first time all season.

Leah Wilcox was UTEP’s top shooter in air gun, firing 584. She was followed by Anna Crabtree and Rachel Glenn with 581 and Kayra Davila finished with 580.

Morgan Glenn and Jessie Garay posted scores of 568 and 567, respectively, although their scores did not count towards the final aggregate.

UTEP combined for a score of 2257 in smallbore. R. Glenn fired 567 to lead the Miners. She was trailed by Davila, Crabtree and Wilcox with scores of 565, 563 and 562, respectively.

The Miners will wait to see if they qualify for the NCAA Championship to be held March 9-10 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Selections will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
