UTEP Coach Mike Price was honored by the All-American Football Foundation earlier this week in Dallas.

Price was one of five recipients of Johnny Vaught Head Coaching Awards on Tuesday after orchestrating an amazing turnaround at UTEP in 2004. In his first year as head coach of the Miners, Price directed the team to an 8-4 mark and EV1.net Houston Bowl appearance following three consecutive two-win seasons.

Other winners were Mack Brown (Texas), Pete Fredenburg (Mary Hardin-Baylor), Bud Elliott (Eastern New Mexico) and Jerry Vandergriff (Angelo State).
