UTEP linebacker Godwin Akinduro has been invited to participate in the Dallas Cowboys' minicamp later this week.

The 6-4, 220-pound Akinduro tallied 97 tackles, including five for losses, last season. The Houston native played in 44 games for the Miners, totaling 224 stops and nine tackles for losses with a pair of fumble recoveries.

Akinduro started all 12 games at WILL linebacker in 2004. He earned honorable mention All-WAC honors and had a career-high 13 tackles versus Rice.
