Rosters for UTEP’s annual spring football game were released on Wednesday. Kickoff is 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Sun Bowl, and admission is free.

Gates open at 6 p.m. Fans can enter the stadium through the North, Southwest or Upper Press Box gates.

Hot dogs will be sold for $1 (limit two per person). Fans can visit the UTEP kiosk, located at the North concourse of the stadium, for a chance to win one of five GMAC Bowl footballs autographed by Miner coach Mike Price. The lucky winners will be announced at the beginning of the third quarter and will need to pick up their prize by the end of the third quarter at the kiosk.

Quarterbacking the white team will be senior Jordan Palmer, junior Lorne Sam and freshmen Brandis Dew and Kyle Wright. The blue team will be led by junior Joe Castro and freshman Oswald Carlton.

Palmer is the UTEP career record-holder for total offense (7,532 yards), touchdowns responsible for (68), passing yards (7,489) and touchdown passes (62). Other offensive standouts for the white team include senior wide receiver Johnnie Lee Higgins, Jr., who is tied for second in school history with 19 touchdown receptions, and junior running back Marcus Thomas, who set a school record by rushing for over 100 yards in four straight games late last season.

Leading the white team defensively will be senior linebacker Jeremy Jones, who racked up a team-leading 130 tackles last season.

Fourteen players are slated to split time between the blue and white teams DL Alfonso Auelua, WR Dustin Bell, P Greg Hiett, P Ryan Hotchkiss, RB Jon Lane, DB Tim McCullouch, OL Colby Meek, DL Chris Moore, DL James Olalekan, OL Cameron Raschke, K Reagan Schneider, DB Bryant Tisdale, LB Brian Wilkins and DL Matt Williams.
