2007 (SOPHOMORE): Made two starts at SAM linebacker early in the year (at Texas Tech and at New Mexico State) before filling a reserve role the rest of the way ... credited with nine tackles on the season ... had two stops in each of the first two games, including a sack at Texas Tech ... also forced a fumble against the Red Raiders.

2006 (FRESHMAN): Earned playing time in all 12 games ... finished the season with 15 tackles, an interception and a pass break-up ... had a season-high eight tackles against Tulane ... recorded two solo stops versus SMU ... picked off a pass and broke up a pass against Tulane.

2005: Redshirted.

PRIOR TO UTEP: All-League defensive player and Orange County Top-25 selection after registering 100+ tackles as a senior at Tustin High School ... played safety and quarterback his sophomore year, safety his junior year and four positions (running back, tight end, linebacker, quarterback) as a senior ... attended the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp in Berkeley, Calif. and the Nike Combine in San Diego, Calif. in the summer of 2004 ... three-year varsity letterwinner for coach Myron Miller ... helped Tustin reach the semifinals of the CIF playoffs in 2002, and quarterfinals in 2004 ... spent three years on the Tustin basketball team (small forward) and two on the track squad (shot put) ... received a scholar-athlete award from Tustin High School, as well as an NAACP award for youth development as a senior ... two-year honor roll student.
