UTEP to Introduce Tony Barbee Basketball School This Summer




UTEP's Tony Barbee Basketball School will make its debut this summer. Camps will teach boys and girls ages 7-18 the fundamentals of basketball through a variety of skillwork, games and contests. Come enjoy a fun-filled learning experience with coach Barbee and UTEP players and staff!

Camp dates and times are as follows:

  • June 4-7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., $225 per camper
  • June 18-21, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., $225 per camper
  • June 25-28, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., $225 per camper
  • July 30-August 2, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., $225 per camper
  • July 23-26, 9 a.m.-noon, $125 per camper

    In addition, Tony Barbee's Basketball Shooting Clinic will focus on the fundamentals of shooting the basketball. Boys and girls ages 7-18 can learn what it takes to become a great shooter through a series of drills and contests. The shooting clinic is scheduled for July 13-14 from 9 a.m.-noon and the cost is $125 per camper.

    Discounts are available for the full day camps only (9 a.m.-3 p.m.). Prices are $200 each for two camps or two kids; $185 each for three camps or three kids; and $165 each for four camps or four kids. Group discounts are also available for groups of 5+ kids or 5+ camps ($150 per camper), and 10+ kids or 10+ camps ($125 per camper).     A complimentary t-shirt will be provided for all campers. Children can bring a sack lunch and drink. No camper is allowed to leave camp during lunch.

    Check-in and registration will be held at camp location, 30 minutes prior to the start of the camp on the first day at the south tunnel of the Don Haskins Center. The first session will begin immediately after registration is concluded. Parents, family and friends are welcome at any or all sessions.

    It is required that all campers have the Youth Release and Indemnification Agreement on file with the camp before they are allowed to participate.
