Utah State Women's Tennis Heads To Three-Day WAC Championships

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's women's tennis team heads to Boise, Idaho for the 2007 Western Athletic Conference Championships, April 26-28. The Aggies were 9-9 during regular season play.

Courtney Anderson holds a seven-match winning streak at number one singles after the Aggies win over Weber State Thursday. Anderson was 13-3 in regular season play at number one singles.

Utah State, the sixth-seed in the tournament, will play its first match against third-seeded Nevada at 9 a.m. Thurs., April 26. The second round of matches in the single elimination championships will be on Fri., April 27 at noon and the championship match will be Saturday at noon.

Other first round matches include eighth-seeded San Jose State against ninth-seeded Louisiana Tech., the winner of that match will take on first-seeded Fresno State Thursday. Also playing Thursday, is fourth-seeded Idaho against fifth-seeded New Mexico State as well as second-seeded Boise State against seventh-seeded Hawaii.
