USU Women's Tennis to Host Boise State Thursday

Jan. 30, 2007

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis will host its third home match this season against Boise State at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1 at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club in USU's the Western Athletic Conference opener.

With a win against Montana and a loss to Montana State last week, the Aggies are at a 1-1 record on the young season.

USU fell to BSU the last two times they met. During the 2006 season, the Broncos defeated the Aggies, 7-0, with current USU senior Courtney Anderson being the closest to victory as she pushed her way to three sets before losing, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3. The Broncos ended the USU women's tennis season in the first round of the WAC Championships with a loss of 4-0.

The Aggies are led by Anderson, who holds a 2-0 record this season in singles.

All USU tennis matches are held at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club and are free to the public.
