Utah State Women's Tennis Faired Well At the Utah Fall Invitational

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Utah State women's tennis competed in a round robin style tournament at the University of Utah last weekend. Sophomore Brianna Harris and Junior Bridgette Strickland had wins in singles in doubles, while sophomore Britney Watts tallied a singles win. Harris went 1-1 in singles action in the No. 1 flight, as she defeated Weber State's Inalise Pienaar, 6-1, 6-4 and fell to Utah's Emily Kwok, 6-2, 6-1. The Aggies' Stickland and Watts also went 1-1 in singles action in the No. 3 and No. 4 flights, respectively. Strickland beat Weber State's Greyce Farias, 0-6, 6-1, 7-5 and lost, 6-4, 6-0, to Utah's Karine Bourdages. Watts won 6-3, 6-2, over Keya Adamson from Weber State and fell to Andrea Maughn of Utah, 6-2, 6-0. Harris and Strickland teamed up in the No. 1 flight in doubles action and posted a 1-1 mark for the weekend. The duo defeated WSU's Pienaar and Farias, 8-1, and fell to the Utes' Monson/Kwock, 8-1. The Utah Fall Invitational concludes fall action for the Utah State women and action will start again next spring. Utah State vs. Utah
