Utah State Freshman Hailey Swenson Fell In The Consolation Semifinals at the Utah Fall Classic

PROVO, Utah - Utah State freshman Hailey Swenson made it to the consolation semifinals, Friday, in the second day of the Utah Fall Classic hosted by Brigham Young University. Swenson went 2-1 on the day but retired early in the semifinals consolation round to Colorado State's Greer Satherlie. In the first round of action Swenson defeated Alyssa Pyne and went on to beat BYU's Jocelyn Jenson in the second round, 7-6 (10-8), 6-3. In other singles action junior Bridgette Strickland, sophomore Brianna Harris and sophomore Britney Watts all received byes for the first round of singles consolation. Strickland fell in the second round to CSU's Laura Neal, 6-3, 6-3, while Harris fell to Boise State's Claudia Wlodraczyk, 7-5, 6-3. Watts is scheduled to play Utah's Leigh Walsh.
