Women's Tennis Wins Final Regular Season Match

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's women's tennis team beat the Idaho State Bengals here this afternoon, 6-1 in the Aggies final match of regular season play. This is the Aggies second win over the Bengals this season, and the Aggies finished regular season play with an 11-11 record.

Utah State started the match strong winning all three doubles matches to take the doubles point. Lindsey Bennion won the No. 1 singles match in a 6-2, 6-3 victory. Jill Smith lost a close match at No. 2 to Armine Sarkavagyan 7-6, 6-4. At No. 4 and 5 Courtney Anderson and Andrea Barker shut down their opponents, both winning 6-0, 6-0.

The Aggies will play again on Thursday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. against Cal State Fullerton in the opening round of the Big West Tournament in Indian Wells, California.
