Utah State Women's Tennis Suffers 5-2 Home Loss Against Eastern Washington
March 24, 2007 LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis lost to Eastern Washington University Saturday, 5-2, at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club. Aggies Erin Monson and Brianna Harris both won their singles matches in two sets, earning the only points against the Eagles. With the loss, the Aggies now post a 4-6 record for the spring season. "The month break was good for the girls and they're a lot healthier, but they were a little rusty today," USU head coach Christian Wright said. In the doubles action, the Aggies started off on the right foot when sisters Erin and Lauren Monson defeated Eagles Iliana Petrova and Rachel Berger at number one, 8-2. The Aggies failed to earn the doubles point. Senior Courtney Anderson was back in action after a one-game absence due to a wrist injury, but fell to Casey Knox at number one singles, 7-6, 6-4.
