POCATELLO, Idaho - Utah State women's tennis defeated Idaho State Tuesday in Pocatello, 6-1, improving their record to an even 2-2.

USU opened the competition by earning the doubles point with Aggie sisters Erin and Lauren Monson recording an 8-5 win against ISU's Katherine Zigars and Valerie Espinosa at number one. Playing at number two, Brianna Harris and Courtney Anderson defeated ISU's Lauren Pascoe and Sophie Dang, 8-6, giving the USU a 1-0 lead in the match.

Courtney Anderson kept the Aggie's energy up with a win at number one singles in two sets, 6-0, 6-1, against Lauren Pascoe. Anderson now holds a record in singles of 4-0 this season. USU went on to win four of the five remaining matches in the singles competition as Erin Monson, Brianna Harris, and Britney Watts posted straight set wins, while Bridgette Strickland won her match at number four in three sets.

The Aggies will return to action against University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Sat., Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. in Las Vegas and will play again Sun., Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. against University of California, Riverside in Las Vegas.
