LOGAN, Utah - Carolyn Stephens led the Utah State women's tennis team to victory over the Montana State Bobcats here on Saturday morning, 5-2. Stephens played the No. 3 singles match beating Vera Vasileva, 6-1, 6-2.

Utah State went on to win the No. 4, 5 and 6 singles matches in straight sets. Courtney Anderson played the No. 4 spot beating Anna Hockett 6-1, 6-1. Aggie Andrea Barker beat Remy Clark 6-2, 6-1to win the No. 5 match while teammate Lauren Monson won the No. 6 match 6-1, 6-3.

In doubles action the Aggies won all three matches. Lindsey Bennion and Stephens teamed up to beat Hockett and Tyffani Thomas 8-1. Aggies Anderson and Barker struggled a little at the No. 2 position, but pulled through to beat Vasileva and Nicole Luetolf, 9-7. Jill Smith and Monson had little trouble at the No. 3 position beating Lozano and Clark 8-1.

The Aggie women will be in action again on Feb. 8 at Idaho State.
