Aggies Softball Signs Three To Letters Of Intent
Nov. 30, 2004 Logan, Utah - Utah State head softball coach Lonny Sargent announced recently the signing of three players to national letters of intent to compete for the Aggies during the 2006 season. The future Utah State student-athletes are Lexy Hadenfeld from Gresham, Ore., Wynter Hite from Beaverton, Ore., and Aubrie Stroman from Red Bluff, Calif. "We are very excited about our incoming recruiting class," Sargent said. "The players we signed will bring great talent and fierce determination to the team.." Hadenfeld, a right-handed pitcher, is a sophmore transfer from Mt. Hood Community College, where she was named 2004 Most Valuable Pitcher of the Southern Region as well as a 2004 NWAACC All-American. "Hadenfeld will be a tremendous force at her position," said Sargent. "We are excited that she will be pitching for us and expect her to make an immediate impact next season." USU's freshmen signees include Hite, team captain of her high school team, and Stroman, who was named all-league and all-section two years in a row.
"Hite is very spunky, works hard, and will bring an incredible amount of energy to the team, while Stroman's talent will enable her to jump right into her position after our current starter graduates," said Sargent. "They are going to give us depth next season and will help us get to the next level."
