 Utah State Softball To Hold Winter Clinics For Players And Coaches
Nov. 11, 2004 LOGAN, Utah - Utah State softball will hold a winter coaching clinic in the middle of December and a two-day players' clinic in January, it was announced by Aggie head coach Lonny Sargent. The coaches' clinic will take place on December 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stan Laub Indoor Training Facility on the Utah State University campus. The clinic will cover beginning and advanced pitching, weights, slapping and hitting drills, infield and outfield practice plans, as well as tips on college recruiting and videos. Pre-registration cost for the clinic is $25 prior to Nov. 26 and cost at the door is $40. Staffs of three or more coaches will cost just $20 per person. Lunch is provided. The two day players' clinic will take place on Saturday, Jan. 15 and then players will have the choice of Sunday, Jan. 16 or Saturday, Jan. 22 for their second day. Players attending the clinic will work on hitting, base running, defensive skills, and pitching and catching. Lunch will be provided on the first day. The clinic will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday the 15th and will run until 4:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 10 a.m. On the second day, the clinic will begin at 10 a.m. and will wrap up at 4 p.m. Cost is $125 before Jan. 7 and $165 after that date.
