Lewis Named Xbox Live WAC Gymnast Of The Week

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's Meagan Lewis has been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference Gymnast of the Week for the week of Feb. 13. This is the first WAC Gymnast of the Week honor for Lewis, but the third for the Aggies.

Lewis, a junior from Las Vegas, Nev., won her second-straight all-around with a season-high 38.900. Utah State recorded its highest score of the season, 193.350 to win a tri-team meet with Texas Woman's (191.125) and Washington (190.400) last week. The Aggies improved to 4-8 with the win, and are 0-3 in the WAC. She tied her season-high score on vault (9.750), scored a 9.575 on bars, and scored a season-high 9.800 on floor, placing in a tie for fifth, tenth, and first respectively. On the beam she scored a 9.775 to tie for fourth.

Other nominees included: Alexis Tsurmoto of Sacramento State led the Hornets to a season-high 192.500 with a 9.975 in bars. . Renae Moneymaker of San Jose State won the all-around with an all-around score of 38.800 as the Spartans scored a 192.450.
