    USC Set For 2011 NCAA Final Four In San Antonio; Plays Illinois In National Semifinal

    No. 7 seed Women of Troy faces No. 3 seed Fighting Illini at the Alamodome on Thursday.

    Williams, a two-time All-American, played in 125 career matches at USC...recorded 1,079 kills (2.45 kps) while hitting .377 (second-highest percentage in school history) with 83 assists (0.19 aps), five aces (0.01 saps), 89 digs (0.20 dps), 413 blocks (0.94 bps) and 1,325.5 points (3.00 pps).

    This season, Williams recorded 303 kills (2.68 kps) while hitting .385 with 90 blocks (0.80 bps) and 353.5 points (3.12 pps)...earned AVCA All-America third team and AVCA All-Pacific Region honors...named 2011 All-Pac-12 Conference, the second time she earned the conference honor...registered a season-high 18 kills in her final collegiate match, a five-set loss to No. 7 Illinois in the NCAA national semifinal in San Antonio while hitting .448 with three blocks...had seven kills and five blocks on December 9 against No. 3 Hawai'i in a regional semifinal...recorded 10 kills in both post-season matches against Yale and Tulsa (Dec. 2 and 3) at the Galen Center...posted an identical .368 (10-3-19) percentage for both matches with four blocks in the sweep against Tulsa...against No. 4 UCLA on Nov. 25, she posted 10 kills and four blocks (two solo) in the 3-1 win...hit .833 on 10 kills (10-0-12) in a 3-0 sweep on November 19 against Arizona...on November 18 against Arizona State, she became the 18th player in USC history to reach 1,000 career kills...had 11 kills while hitting .429 with four blocks....named Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week on November 7, the second time she earned the conference honor...in 3-0 sweeps against Washington State and No. 10 Washington (November 4-5), Williams hit .692 with 20 kills with only two errors on 26 attempts with six blocks...against the Cougars, she was a perfect 9-for-9 with three blocks and hit .529 on 11 kills (11-2-17) with three blocks against the Huskies...had 10 kills and five blocks in a four-set win on Oct. 14 against No. 16 Oregon...in two wins at Arizona and Arizona State (Oct. 7-8), she hit .477 with 23 kills against only three errors...had 11 kills while hitting .588 against the Wildcats and had 12 kills at the Sun Devils while hitting .407 with a season-high seven blocks...hit .529 on 10 kills (10-1-17) with three blocks on Oct. 2 in a 3-0 sweep at Utah...had nine kills with no errors (.429) against No. 1 California on Sept. 23 in a 3-0 sweep...hit .571 (13-1-21) on 13 kills with two blocks in a 3-0 sweep on September 17 at Washington State...in four matches from Sept. 2-4 in Florida, she had 36 kills and hit .552 as she recorded only one hitting error in every match...against Furman on Sept. 3, she had 12 kills while hitting .611 (12-1-18)...hit .418 at the 2011 Rockvale Outlets/AVCA Showcase in University Park, Pennsylvania, recorded 27 kills (2.70 kps) with seven blocks.

    As a junior, Williams played in 33 matches for the Women of Troy and earned AVCA All-America third team and All-Pac-10 Conference honors...finished seventh in the nation with a .417 hitting percentage...her hitting percentage placed her fifth on USC's single-season list...had 286 kills (2.40 kps), 45 assists (0.38 aps), 3 service aces (0.03 saps), 30 digs (0.25 dps) and a team-high 115 blocks (0.97 bps) for 358.5 points (3.01 pps)...recorded six kills and three blocks in the NCAA national semifinal on Dec. 16 against No. 4 California...posted 13 kills and five blocks on Dec. 11 in the five-set win over No. 3 seed Stanford in the Dayton Regional final after 10 kills and four blocks the previous night against Indiana...against No. 18 San Diego in an NCAA second-round match, she had 10 kills and hit .562 (10-1-16) with five blocks in the four-set victory...finished the regular season with 12 kills and seven blocks in a five-set win on Nov. 26 at No. 9 UCLA...recorded 26 kills in two matches (Nov. 19 and 20) at Oregon State and No. 23 Oregon while hitting .590 for the weekend with nine blocks...in the five-set win at No. 23 Oregon, she tied her career highs with 19 kills and eight blocks while hitting .533 (19-3-30)...the previous night, she hit .778 (7-0-9) in the 3-0 sweep against Oregon State...had nine kills with six blocks while hitting .615 (9-1-13) on Nov. 12 in a 3-0 sweep of No. 20 Arizona...in a four-set win on Nov. 5 at No. 2 California, she had 11 kills with five blocks while hitting .429 (11-2-21)...tied her personal best with eight blocks (the fifth time she did so in her career) on Oct. 30 against Washington...had one of her best matches of the season on Oct. 22 in a five-set win at home against No. 16 Oregon when she had a season-high 17 kills, a career-high 24.0 points and hit .640 (17-1-25) against the Ducks...on Oct. 16 at No. 25 Arizona, she had 13 kills and no errors while hitting .565 (13-0-23)...registered all-tournament honors at the Fresno State Invitational (Sept. 17-18) after hitting .421 on the weekend with five blocks (1.00 bps)...earned all-tournament honors at the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic in Honolulu after leading USC to a 3-0 mark with wins over No. 4 Hawai'i, New Mexico and Michigan State...was second on the team with 31 kills (2.82 kps) while hitting .473 with 18 blocks (1.64 bps)...had 12 kills and six blocks while hitting .450 (12-3-20) in a 3-0 sweep of New Mexico and followed that up with 14 kills and six blocks while tying her career high of five assists in the five-set win over No. 4 Hawai'i...garnered Luxe City Center Trojan Invitational all-tournament honors after registering 25 kills (3.57 kps) in three matches while hitting .622 (25-2-37).

    She made 30 starts in 31 matches as a sophomore...finished fourth among Pac-10 Conference players with a .371 hitting percentage...third on the team with 281 kills (2.55 kps)...had 15 assists (0.14 aps), 19 digs (0.17 dps) and 343.5 points (3.12 pps)...led the team with 105 total blocks (0.95 bps) with 20 solo blocks...finished the season with double-digit kills in four consecutive matches...had a team-high 14 kills and hit .407 (14-3-27) with a career-high eight block assists against No. 3 Hawai'i on Dec. 5 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament...recorded 10 kills and no errors for a season-high .714 clip (10-0-14) against Oklahoma on Dec. 4 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament...had 12 kills and only one error against No. 19 Arizona on Nov. 28 for a .393 hitting percentage (12-1-28) with three block assists...posted 14 kills and four block assists on Nov. 27 against Arizona State...had eight kills and seven blocks while hitting .467 on Nov. 20 at No. 18 Oregon in a 3-0 sweep, followed by nine kills in a .667 performance (9-1-12) at Oregon State...earned her first-ever Pac-10 Conference Player of the Week honor on Nov. 16 after registering 33 kills while hitting .462 with 11 blocks and 41.0 points in wins over No. 4 Washington and No. 25 Washington State...had 14 kills and eight blocks (four solo) while hitting .364 against Washington...followed that with a career-high 19 kills against Washington State without a single error for a .559 night (19-0-34)...had eight kills and five blocks (three solo) in a five-set loss on Nov. 6 to No. 7 UCLA...had a season-high 15 kills and hit .345 in a four-set loss on Oct. 30 at No. 4 Stanford...in a weekend of 3-0 sweeps against Oregon State and No. 12 Oregon, she hit .471 with eight kills against OSU and a season-high 12 kills against Oregon in a .500 match (12-2-20)...recorded nine kills with no errors in a .529 performance with seven blocks (one solo, six assisted) on Oct. 9 at No. 16 UCLA...tied a career high with eight blocks (two solo, six assisted) to go with seven kills on Oct. 2 in a five-set win against No. 9 California and recorded nine kills for a .353 night (9-3-17) on Oct. 3 in a three-set loss to No. 11 Stanford...had 11 kills and hit .304 during the team's Pac-10 opener on Sept. 25 at No. 19 Arizona...had nine kills and five blocks while hitting .438 (9-2-16) against Portland on Sept. 18 and eight kills with four blocks while hitting .462 (8-2-13) on Sept. 19 against Fresno State...earned all-tournament team honors at the Wolverine Invitational after posting 23 kills and six blocks while hitting .559 on the weekend...had six kills and hit .625 (6-1-8) against No. 20 UC Irvine on Sept. 8 in the 3-0 sweep...on Sept. 4 against No. 21 Pepperdine, she had 11 kills and two blocks while hitting .529 (11-2-17) in the 3-0 sweep...posted 10 kills in her first two matches of the season (Aug. 28 at Michigan State and Aug. 29 vs. North Carolina) with six blocks in the season opener against the Spartans.

    In her first collegiate season, Williams had 209 kills (2.11 kps) with a .323 hitting percentage and a team-leading 103 blocks (1.04 bps) with 15 solo blocks and 88 block assists...earned Pac-10 Conference honorable mention recognition...named to the Pac-10 Conference All-Freshman Team...recorded 11 blocks (two solo, nine assisted) in her first two collegiate matches at the Runza/AVCA Showcase against No. 4 Texas and No. 7 Nebraska...had seven kills along with four blocks (two solo, two assisted) in a 3-1 win against Oklahoma on Sept. 4. On Oct. 3 at Oregon State, she had 13 kills and hit .545 (13-1-22) in the five-set loss against the Beavers...on Oct. 11 in a five-set loss to No. 10 Washington, Williams recorded a season-high 16 kills with six block assists while hitting .462 (16-4-26)...hit .477 in two matches at Arizona State and Arizona (Oct. 17 and 19)...had 13 kills in both matches...against the Wildcats on Oct. 19, she recorded kills in her first 11 attempts and added six blocks (one solo, five assisted)...recorded 12 kills and eight blocks (one solo, seven assists) in a five-set upset over No. 4 Cal on Oct. 25 at the Galen Center...had nine kills and six blocks against No. 7 Oregon on Oct. 31, followed by a match with 15 kills and seven blocks against Oregon State...had a combined 15 kills without recording an error in 30 attempts (.500) in matches at No. 5 Washington and Washington State (Nov. 7 and 9)...hit .550 (12-1-20) on Nov. 21 at No. 2 Stanford and followed it with a .455 match (11-1-22) with four blocks at No. 7 Cal.

    She redshirted in her 2007 freshman season.

    She played on the 2008 Women's A2 National Team...played on the 2007 Junior National Training Team...played on the U.S. Youth National Team in 2004 and 2005 and was a member of the High Performance squad in 2003...played for the squad that finished fourth at the World 18 and Under Games in 2005 in Macau, China, and the gold-medal squad at the 2004 NORCECA Championship.

    Williams was a 2007 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection...earned all-state honors as a senior at Stratford High in Houston, Texas under coach Becky Palermo...named to the Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston Area first team in her senior season as well as being named as the best blocker...earned all-district first team honors in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons...named best attacker at the 2007 Kingwood Tournament....played club volleyball for Texas Elite and Texas Tornados under coach and four-time Olympian Tara Cross-Battle...also named to the Lone Star Volleyball All-Texas Team in her junior and senior seasons...named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star Team in her senior season...member of the 17 Division squad that finished fifth at the national championships and won the Las Vegas Tournament.
