    As a 2005 junior, Montgomery adds depth as a defensive specialist.


    Montgomery appeared in seven matches and 10 games this season...collected a dig at Oregon (Oct. 22) and against Oregon (Nov. 19) and Oregon State (Nov. 20) at home.


    In her first season with the Women of Troy, Montgomery played 14 matches as a reserve defensive specialist en route to the 2003 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP...collected a total of eight digs and two service aces on the season...made her first collegiate appearance against Ball State on Aug. 29 and collected two digs...also contributed a season-high two digs against Centenary (Sept. 12) and at Arizona State (Nov. 8)...posted a service ace in matches against Centenary and Oregon State (Oct. 25).

    Montgomery is a 2003 graduate of St. Francis High in Mountain View, Calif...two-year volleyball letterwinner at defensive specialist...an All-West Catholic Athletic League Junior Varsity pick as a freshman and sophomore...compiled team's best passing percentage as a senior...helped lead team to three California Central State Division I championships in 2000, 2001 and 2002 and four-straight Nor-Cal and WCAL Championships...played club volleyball for Vision (three years), City Beach (three years) and Griffin (one year)...City Beach won 16 Open National Tournament in 2001...a four-year honor roll student...former prep teammate of current USC teammates Diane Copenhagen and Jessica Gysin.


    Anne Marie Montgomery was born on Feb. 10, 1985, in Missoula, Mt...daughter of Mike and Sarah Montgomery, she has one brother, John (21)...father is the head coach of the NBA's Golden State Warriors and the former 18-year head coach at Stanford...he played collegiate basketball and volleyball at Long Beach State (1965-68), earned his graduate degree from Colorado State (`76) and is a member of the LBSU Hall of Fame...her brother is a senior guard on the Loyola Marymount men's basketball team...has admired current Minnesota Grizzlie and former Laker Mark Madsen since his time at Stanford and lists him as her biggest sports hero...involved with community service programs, including TAP (Teen Awareness Program)...has not decided on a major.
