    U.S. Olympic Team
    In the summer of 2008, Nicole Davis was selected to the U.S. Olympic Team, becoming the 20th player in USC women's volleyball history to be an Olympian. Davis will make her first Olympic appearance in Beijing, China.

    Nicole Davis dominated at the libero position in her senior season as she led USC to the 2003 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP... She started all 35 matches and averaged 4.25 digs per game - the second-best single season performance in program history... Her 450 total digs in 2003 rank fifth among USC records... She also finished second in the Pac-10 in digs per game... Leading the Women of Troy in digs and digs per game in her final two seasons, she finished her USC career with 1,093 total digs and a 3.09 digs per game average to rank sixth in both USC career record categories... In 2003 she earned her first conference honor by being named All-Pac-10 honorable mention... She surpassed her own career high and set a new USC record for digs in a three-game match with 31 against Stanford on Nov. 14... On Dec. 13 against UCLA in the NCAA Regional Final, Davis tied that career mark and USC record by posting another 31-dig performance against the Bruins... Early in the season, Davis was named to the USC-Holiday Inns All-Tournament team after averaging 3.2 digs against Ball State, South Carolina and Northern Iowa... She earned her 1,000th career dig this season when she posted 13 digs in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against New Hampshire (Dec. 5)... Trained with the USA A2 Women's National Team in Lake Placid, N.Y., during the summer of 2003.

    Davis proved to be one of the best liberos in the country by the end of her junior season as she helped guide USC to the 2002 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP... Played in all 32 matches and made 27 starts at libero (2002 marked the first season the libero position was used in collegiate volleyball)... Averaged a team-leading 3.44 digs per game and finished sixth in the Pac-10... Set a career-best mark with 24 digs in three matches (Oct. 4 at Stanford, Nov. 2 vs. Stanford and Nov. 26 vs. UC Santa Barbara)... Averaged 3.05 digs throughout the NCAA Championships, including 13 and 14 digs against Florida and Stanford in the Final Four.

    Davis played in all 29 matches and appeared in 99 games as a sophomore... She led the team and finished the season ranked ninth in the Pac-10 with 0.30 service aces per game... Also finished fourth on the team with 2.27 digs per game... Set a career high with 15 digs against Wisconsin (Sept. 2)... Tallied a kill against Hawai'i (Sept. 7) and Cal (Nov. 9)... Had a dominating performance at the service line when she recorded a career-best seven aces against Stanford (Oct. 12), a mark that ranks fifth among USC match records... Had nine matches with double-digit digs throughout the season.

    In her first season, Davis played in 44 games and appeared in 23 matches... She averaged 1.30 digs per game... Made her collegiate debut against Texas (Sept. 1) and had one dig... Twice she added a kill in a match for a perfect attack percentage (Sept. 6, Nov. 14)... Added a season-high 11 digs against Washington State (Nov. 17)... Posted nine digs against San Diego (Nov. 14) and Notre Dame (Nov. 24)... Fractured her left foot during practice on Dec. 6 and did not compete in the final three matches.

    Davis is a 2000 graduate of Lincoln High in Stockton, Calif... A three-year varsity letterwinner at outside hitter and defensive specialist... As a senior, she earned All-San Joaquin League and all-area honors... Was also named all-league as a junior... In her final season, she collected 357 kills, 35 aces, 569 digs and 40 blocks... Her prep career marks included 705 total kills, 103 aces, 1254 digs and 82 blocks... She helped lead her team to the league championship and NorCal championship as a junior and senior... The team also won the section championship in 1997 and 1998... Had her best prep match in the first game of her senior season, accounting for 25 kills and 49 digs against El Dorado High... Played club volleyball with Nike Pacific and Delta Valley under head coach Bret J. Almazan-Cezar... Was named to the Junior Olympic Team in 1999 and 2000... Also earned an academic letter as a prep.

    Nicole Marie Davis was born on April 24, 1982, in Stockton, Calif. ... The daughter of Randy and Barbara Davis, she has one brother, Chris... Owns a black belt in karate... In her free time, she also enjoys reading and skiing... A political science major who would like to attend law school following graduation.
