    THIS SEASON: Gabriela Niculescu enters her second season of competition at USC ranked No. 67 in the ITA preseason singles rankings and is No. 23 in doubles with Maria Sanchez and No. 31 with Amanda Fink... During the fall, went 6-3 in singles and 6-1 in doubles... Reached the ITA Regionals Round of 16 and won all three singles matches at the Duals in the Desert... In doubles, went 5-0 with Maria Sanchez to win the ITA Regionals Doubles Championship.

    2008: Niculescu won the Pac-10 Doubles Championship with Amanda Fink... Named an ITA All-American in doubles after reaching the NCAA Doubles Quarterfinals... Selected West Region's ITA Player to Watch... Also reached the Pac-10 Singles Quarterfinals and the NCAA Singles Round of 32... Finished with a 31-12 overall singles record and was 20-7 in dual match play, going 1-1 at No. 2, 10-3 at No. 3 and 9-3 at No. 4... In doubles, went 36-11 overall including a 35-11 record with Fink... Fink/Niculescu were 18-6 in dual match doubles play at No. 1... Finished the season ranked No. 48 in singles and No. 5 in doubles with Fink... Went 6-2 in singles during the fall, including a 4-1 start at the Riviera All-American... Went 9-3 in doubles during the fall, winning the ITA West Regional doubles title playing with Amanda Fink... Also went 4-1 in doubles with Fink at the Riviera All-American.

    2007: Niculescu did not compete in her first season at USC.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Niculescu was a singles national champion in Romania in 2000 and 2003... A member of Romania's national team that finished eighth at the Under 18 European Team Championships and third at the Under 14 European Team Championships... Won the singles title at an ITF circuit tournament in Antalya, Turkey, in May 2005 and also teamed up with her younger sister, Monica, to win the doubles title at that tournament... Graduated from Dimitrie Bolintineanu in 2006.
